Bournemouth Ladies 5ths 2 Yeovil & Sherborne Ladies 3rds 3
Yeovil travelled to Bournemouth knowing a win or a draw would secure the league title. Yeovil started well putting Bournemouth under pressure but were unable to find the back of the net until Emma Gay took the ball into the D and picked out Su Johnson who managed to beat the keeper and score. Bournemouth came back immediately following the restart and assisted by the bumpy pitch slipped through the defence to score. Yeovil however kept their momentum and following a cross from Ellie Eastaugh, Johnson was denied on the line by a Bournemouth foot. Jo Stevenson took the resulting penalty flick and placed it perfectly in the bottom left hand corner. After the break Yeovil kept on the pressure and a run from Frankie Titley up the right hand side of the pitch passed to Eastaugh who crossed the ball to find Abi Green who swept the ball into the back of the net to make the score 3-1. Bournemouth came back with another goal just before the end, but the scoreline of 3-2 was enough to secure the Channel 2A League Title. Yeovil's players' player went to sweeper Sarah Anstee.
